We have had some difficult decisions to make for Dominic's next year in racing. After joining Ollie and the eclipse team early this year Dom has really come on. Towards the end of the year lots changed at eclipse and although I hold Ollie in high regard I was a little upset at the end of the year when after a situation Peter Budd left the team.

we of course continued with eclipse and found that without Peter around Dominic seemed to be missing something. Then we heard all sorts of rumours about the teams merging etc. we had to really consider what we believed was best for Dom.

i had heard that Peter had been approached by a number of drivers and teams regarding karting next year. It was obvious that Peter was not going to return to eclipse so I decided to contact Peter regarding the possibilities of him running Dom next year. As I am sure every dad in karting is aware this is not a cheap sport so to spend money with a team is a massive decision and one that must be justified.

We looked at the big picture and for next year decided no we will become a privateer team for cost and the fact that Dom will get a one to one coaching hopefully from Peter Budd.
The great news is that Peter agreed to work with Dom last week, this is great news for Dom and now db racing is of and running.

a big thank you to Peter for making this decision I know that he had many more appealing offers on the table from big teams within the paddock and some privateers I know he holds in high esteem so it was not an easy decision for Peter.

we are certain however that we have all made the right decision, also a big thank you to Jack Daniels who was Dom's mechanic this year in the lgm series. We asked Jack to run Dom next year in both lgm and s1. Since Jack lost his eclipse driver Mathew Graham this year and had no one else to run at eclipse we were lucky to get Jack as well.
